  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 3 tbsp key lime juice

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper. Fold so that sides are covered as well.

  • Evenly sprinkle semi-sweet chocolate chips over graham cracker crust. Repeat with dark chocolate chips and chopped pecans.
  • In a small bowl stir together sweetened condensed milk and key lime juice. Drizzle evenly over chocolates and nuts.
  • Next, in a small bowl, stir together coconut and lime zest. Evenly sprinkle over condensed milk. Bake for 27-30 minutes, or until coconut begins to turn golden brown. Let cool in pan before removing and cutting into bars.

Notes

Key lime juices gives a strong, delicious lime flavor. You will likely find it on the juice aisle of your grocery store. If you do not, you can substitute fresh or bottled lime juice, but the lime flavor will not be as strong.
As my grocery store does not regularly carry key limes, I used the zest of a standard lime.
