Instructions
Line an 11 x 17 baking pan with parchment paper or wax paper, ensuring that paper comes up about 1/2 inch on each side.
Pour white chocolate chips into a microwave safe bowl with peanut butter. Microwave on 50% power, in 30 second increments. Stir well after each increment. Continue until peanut butter and white chocolate are completely melted and smooth.
Use spatula to spread mixture evenly onto prepared baking pan.
Add dark chocolate and 1 teaspoon of shortening to a microwave safe bowl. Microwave on 50% power in 30 second increments, stirring well after each increment. Once chocolate is completely melted and smooth, drizzle over peanut butter and white chocolate.
Add milk chocolate and remaining 1 teaspoon of shortening to a microwave safe bowl. Microwave on 50% power in 30 second increments, stirring well after each increment. Once chocolate is completely melted and smooth, drizzle over top of white and dark chocolates.
Working quickly, use a toothpick to swirl chocolates in desired pattern. Simply running the toothpick in vertical and horizontal rows works well.
Let candy cool completely, and harden, about 1 hour. Once hardened, use a knife to cut candy into about 2 inch by 2 inch squares.
Notes
Use your favorite brand of peanut butter and chocolate chips. Quality is important as these give the taste to your candy. I prefer Jif peanut butter and Nestle Toll House chocolate chips (milk, dark, and white chocolates).
