Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 2 teaspoons seasoned salt
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 onion chopped finely
  • 1 green bell pepper chopped finely
  • 1 large carrot chopped finely
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper
  • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • 8 hamburger buns

Instructions

  • Heat large skillet over medium high heat. Add ground beef with seasoned salt and onion powder. Cook, stirring frequently, until beef is fully browned, about 5-6 minutes.
  • Once beef is cooked, remove from skillet with a slotted spoon. Drain all but about 2 tbsp grease in skillet.
  • Add chopped onion, bell pepper, carrot, and garlic to skillet. Cook until veggies are softened, about 7-8 minutes.
  • Return beef to skillet and add all of the remaining ingredients. Stir together well.
  • Turn heat to low and simmer, stirring ocassionally for 15 minutes. Serve on buns.
